Whitacre escaped out the front door in between students (I teach private clarinet/saxophone lessons on Tuesdays). He was gone for over two hours. Jon and I were out with flashlights and no coats in the cold the entire time.
I found him. I don't know how. The spot where I found him I had already checked three times before. I'm just glad I thought to look that one more time.
He's home now and safe. In fact, he's already acting as though nothing out of the ordinary happened.
I'm still pretty shaken up, though. Jon is still pretty upset, too. For over two hours I was terrified, beside myself with worry. There are so many terrible things that could happen to a lost, scared, indoor-only cat. Thankfully, none of those things happened. Thank goodness.
Sorry for all the rambling. It's been an awful couple of hours and I just needed to let it out of my system.
