Gracie's a little shih tzu poodle mix a little over a year and a half old. I walk her typically 2 - 3 times a day and we play and so on but my wife takes care of the dog too.
I went on a week long trip leaving my dog home with my wife.
The day after I left, Gracie began having loose stool and it had lasted throughout the time I was gone.
I returned yesterday and she seemed fine, even had a good stool. I left for work and my wife reported that her stool was loose again to the point that she lost control in the house, which she hasn't done since she was a puppy and she threw up also.
We called the vet and she said that if she's not eating anything out of the norm or acting differently, it is likely stress related.
She just saw the vet two weeks ago and got a clean bill of health and some vaccinations. The vet said a reaction to the shots would have been immediate.
We are going to put her on a bland diet for a couple of days to be sure but could she be going through some sort of stress because I've been away?
This is probably the longest I've been away from home since we got her but I find that hard to believe that could be it.
