^^that would be wonderful of you!

I guess they've been researching the breed for around 2 years, why they haven't contacted any breeders before to reserve a pup, I couldn't tell you. I talk to this couple about once every 4-6 months because I keep losing their number. ;)

Here is a link from the Beagle Club of America. The breeders on this list follow a code of ethics and usually compete with their dogs. There are no breeders in Kansas, but in some of the surrounding states. Your friends really should reconsider the issue with the distance. Some of the best breeders are not close by. You need to scroll down on this list to see them listed by state http://clubs.akc.org/NBC/breeders_list.htm

I think they're going to forget about a breeder and find a classified puppy. I told them the reasons why they shouldn't mind driving and her answer was: "It's not the distance itself, it's because Bobby is working six to seven days a week and he wants to come with me to pick it out. So it has to be a day trip or not from a breeder."

My friend herself works from home, so I guess the distance isn't a time issue for her, it's him.

If only you were closer! Beagle pups always end up in my pound and a guy two doors down breeds them too. They are of course hunting dogs and do nothing buy bay though :D
