Guns don't scare me... this guy scares me...

Are you REALLY allowed to have fully automatic guns like that?
yeah you can have them , just as long as you pay the fee, give up your right to search and sesure buy the goverment, and get a back ground check. And also If i shot somone with this gun police would be at my house in a matter of hours. Id have to be pretty stupid to hurt somone with this.

The red tape you have to go through is huge. Its very rare to find anyone who has this.

Ummm... is it safe to assume he earned it then? *crosses fingers*

Dont leave me out EliN.

Is that a milled reciever?? Ild love to see close ups of the markings if you have them, not the serial number just the markings as well as the front sight piece. What condition is the barrel in being FA?
It is milled, and when the guy I bought it from assembled it himself with parts he bought one at a time. So all of it is new or slightly used. Also my camera sucks so dont expect good pics.

He said it was from his grandfather, if it was a gift he only had to pay fees and taxes to have it transferred.
Read his post wrong bought off his grandfather. Still the tax on a FA is what $200 or $400?

Earned what? The right to have a firearm should be everyones right. It was the spirit of the bill of rights that we have firepower to enable us to fight the government if need be. You know me Melissa, I have no problem with someone owning one as long as I have the right to have one myself. Illegal machine guns are readilly availiable underground if you got the connections and cash. The guys in LA that did that bank robbery had full autos and if the civilians had the right to they never would have made it out the door.

I'm not against people having guns at all... but that's a scary ass weapon! lol

I know, the criminals always find a way to get the guns, even when they are illegal. :(

I agree. Ild like to see a ban or 2 go away to make it easier for legal gunowners to purchase FA firearms without having to pay the cost of some new cars for a firearm that was imported or manufactured before 1984.

Woo! Look at you blue!

My neighbor let me hold his shotgun... I don't remember what it was, but it was so hard to even hold the **** thing, it was so heavy. I'm sure it would have knocked me on my ass if I fired it.

This seems like a good thread to ask this question... I was thinking getting a gun for personal protection... a handgun. But I know nothing about guns, seriously... what would you guys recommend for personal protection for a girl, and where the hell do you go to learn how to use the **** thing? Is it hard to get certified for concealed carry? They just passed a concealed carry law in Ohio...

From Alabama. Wonder what the rate of illiteracy is in Alabama these days???? Seems to me that some other types of seminars would have better served the O.P.

I dont need a lisence to carry in state, I need one to carry in other states that recognise Alaskas lisence.

I have a Glock 23 that I got for a carry arm. Im a larger guy so I can conceal a larger pistol than my Glock. I honestly havent shot enough handguns to recomend one for a lady.

The glock 23 has a large slide it is not compact. The smallest gun I have ever seen it a 4 shot 22. revolver. But is not very accurate though. Get a glock.
