I went from being really good about posting puppy pics to hardly posting any pics so here are some recents of Mr. Squiggles!

Here are a few recent ones of Lo... :)

Aww... the puppy doesn't look like a puppy so much anymore...

His ears are still fabulous though! :D

He looks quite like Pippa's friend Kingsley (in fact I called King "Lodin" the other day). Glad to see an update! He's so handsome!!!

Thanks, guys :) he is so much fun. I love this guy.

He is such a handsome dog. I really love his looks. How big is he now?
He's a very average size boy BC -- about 20-1/4" (wicket, but unofficial), 35lbs. Has been there for a long time now and he's pretty well filled out so I don't expect him to get any bigger.

Hmm, that's not bad at all. I feel like in our region there has been a huge influx of really tall, powerful BCs. I like the little ones myself!

Yeah there are people intentionally breeding big BCs...there's a BC here-ish who measures 22+ (so into the 24" AKC class) and I guess they get breeding requests a lot when people learn he's that big. Seems crazy to me!

I think around here it is some people trying to get out of the 22" USDAA class and into the 26". So I can see that for AKC as well. The only advantage I can see is that you can fit prettier collars on a bigger dog. Maybe I'd get a giant BC for that. But mostly I like the wee little ones.

I also have to ask - how did he get to be Squiggles? I call Gusto that sometimes based on his slow-motion, full-body, swinging hips wag that he does when I come home from work.

I call Mira "Wiggles" because of her whole-body superfast wag when she's extra-happy. Lodin was dubbed Squiggles because he is so flexible it sometimes seems like he must not have bones, and because it goes with Wiggles and they are two peas in a pod ;) And because it makes him so darn happy when I say it, haha.
