We have a dog at the animal sanctuary where I volunteer who likely has a neurological disorder, possibly caused by an accident or severe malnutrition. Francis was found, emanciated, in a remote area of bush by a telephone repairman - or rather, Francis found the repairman's truck and sat by it until he returned.

Francis' head is permanently cocked to one side and indented, he is still painfully thin months after being rescued, and his right side gives out on him occasionally - beginning with a backward dragging of the hind foot, and then generalized muscle weakness in the right hindquarter leading to him "tipping" over or stumbling. Yesterday was his first witnessed seizure - I saw him go down and he lay on his side wimpering and shaking and lost control of his bladder. A few minutes later, he got back up, emptied his bowels, and seemed back to normal.
We suspect neurological damage, but have had little luck finding links to information on canine neurological disorders. We are guessing we may need to guide the vet's hand on this, so want to learn as much as we can about it before taking him in on Thursday.
Has anyone had experiences similar to this, or have some good links to the topic?
