My 7 month old Chi mix has recently started peeing much less than usual. For example, she went out at 5:40am and peed, and I took her out again before work, but nothing. Then I took her out at lunch and she peed. My husband took her out at 3:30pm and she didn't go. She went at 8pm and I took her out several times between then and 11pm and she still didn't go. She just sniffs around and sits down. She's acting totally normal, eating and drinking normal. She doesn't have any symptoms of a UTI or bladder infection. Is she just able to control her bladder better because she's getting older or should I be worried?

If she is not having symptoms of discomfort, then I think you probably don't have anything to worry about. I have never experienced a UTI with an animal so I really dont' know what the symptoms would be. Maybe somebody will reply back with the symptoms to watch for.

No with a UTI they go way more often cuz it feels like you always have to go even when you've only got a dribble in your bladder.
I would make sure she's still drinking, and all that. I know somebody's I'll go 8 times a day, and then other days only 2 or 3.
Also the dog is getting older, puppy's a pee machine, maybe she's just learning to hold it more.
