Just be careful, Yuck, neither one of these two sound like they've got a firm grasp on reality . . . and crazy, desperate people do crazy, desperate things. I hope neither one contacts you again, but if they do, tell them not to call you or contact you in any way again!

no you pretty muchly got it. She didn't want to go with me because she said her good byes and wanted it left at that. Now she wants the dog back and I got no clue where it is. I took her into my home because she seemed really nice and i'm a sucker

No, Don't think bad of yourself for doing what you thought was right.

Do you know the original dog owners name?

If you do: call report it to law enforcement (mainly for a record) in case you need to get a restraining order. Telephone harrasment or whatever...

Then if I were you, I would track down the "friend" and find out what her problem is....

And do what is needed to be done to withdrawl yourself from the situation.

Best of Luck,
Julie

I have tried to find the idiot that disappeared with the dog and no one has heard from her. She just vanished. I don't have the financial resourses to hire someone like a PI. I have contact OPP which is our law enforcement and done exactly as they advised blocked phone number, blocked email or which she then started using someone else's and I blocked that too. Thanks

Sticky situation. For your own sake, save every email from A and also record the times she called, duration of the call and such so that if she does decide to do anything, which she has no grounds to, you have backup and proof.

She sold the dog, at that point she gave up all rights to that dog. Look for B on the internet, dont contact her, just see if you can find out where she went to. Maybe pass along the information or something.

Do a google search-type in her name. Go to the white pages and type in her last name or any that she may be living with. Try also to call your local information and doing a search that way.

I guess one thing I learned from this, if a person ever wants me to help find a home for a dog , I'll have her wishes on paper , signed and dated. I almost got into a pickle over money. An elderly neighbor had to suddenly go to the hospital. She asked me to go into a drawer and take out a bunch of cash she didn't want an evil grand daughter to get hold of. She had given me a key and the evil GD called me and wanted it. Luckily the neighbor had a good friend who had warned me not to mention the $$ or give her the key. To make a long ugly story short, I finally had a three way call to the lady in the hospital and her friend to get the money out of my house !!! This GD's father is in prison and Grammy doesn't need this. Anyway, the friend brought a witness , I had a paper written up and we all counted the money which had been sealed in an envelope. Over $3000...... we all signed and dated.

oh so true I have done searches and asked other friends if anyone has seen her and nothing. She has vanished and I don't know how or where she could be.

At this point I'd drop it and HOPE I never heard from either one of these nutcases again

You've wasted enough energy on their problems . . . ;)
