leg lifting.

That depends. I have in the past noticed a decrease in leg lifting behavior in males who had been neutered for longer periods of time.

Some dogs after having been neutered long term will tend to squat more often and fully empty their bladders rather than spritzing here and there.

Most will still lift the leg on occasion tho.

So I'd say the answer to your question is yes. Most of the time. ;)

I think it depends on the dog it self. My niece has a male that was neutered and he does not lift his leg at all. He is 3. But my small male is neutered and lifts high and mighty!!:D

Hammie hardly ever does. once in awhile he'll lift his leg slightly. he also never marks territory. he is neutered......and probably lazy. lol :)

I am still convinced that the leg lifting thing is a learned habit, that dogs pick up if they're around other dogs which do it. Bailey is 4 1/2 months, and still squats. But, we'll see how this goes. I pray he doesn't pick it up, as he is not around other dogs that lift.

Rosco was never around other males that did it, he was the only male in the house and he lifts his leg.
