I'm still trying to find the motivations behind posting about leaving. If you're leaving and never coming back, and you're not checking the thread, what is the point behind making an announcement? I don't see how it can be *anything* but a ploy for attention, but that's just my opinion.

I've left several forums out of boredom (or the fact that my twin sister is on it- and we agree about almost everything, so what's the point of posting? LOL), and never felt the need to make a big announcement. If there were people on the board I thoroughly enjoyed talking to, I PMed them and we still keep in touch.

At any rate, Good luck Fuzz Puppy! (Although I guess it's pointless to say so, since you won't be checking this).

I am not one for announcing that I am leaving, but I HAVE done it once. No, in all honesty I announced my leaving because 1) there was an apology and 2) sometimes you just would like others to know you are fine and nothing happened.

*sigh*

I missed all the drama.. though I can only imagine how it went.

"It is amazing how we humans put ourselves above animals. It is amazing that we, the "superior being", are so stupid and rude... Having a large brain isn't any good unless you can show some sensitivity and compassion as well."

And that is all I have to say. :D

Just my opinion (comr from someone who has been attacked before) sometimes its not just "oooh they hurt my feelings". Its not always "why am I even dealing with this? Why do i care what these people think?" thats why I left before.

I don't know the whole story behind Fuzzpuppy leaving but just saying we shouldn't be rude just because we can. If I saw all these replies and I was the OP I would be like " now i know why I left".

Everyone was so sad when Orion left I love how now its just a bashing.

I come in peace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't understand why you felt the need to post it, but whatever. People in the real world have strong opinions just like you and not everyone is going to sugarcoat everything. What you see as an attack are just people defending their opinions. I recall very few posts when someone was actually attacked, personally (like name calling and stuff) but the rest is just defending what you believe in. For every opinion you have someone has the exact opposite, its a part of life and thats what makes us so unique, that we get to choose what we believe is right from wrong.

I agree, and quite frankly, I have much more going on with my real life to worry about the HOW, WHY and WHAT made Fuzz to post the big send off to her horizon. I'm sorry, but even I don't reply to many posts, but I'm still an active member of the forum. I tend to just listen I guess. If I decided to not engage in the topic, I don't. Simple ... If I do, I do, Simple ... In the end, I get attention at home in the real life :)

Cause they're synonomous, right?
Young and immature are not at all synonomous. I know plenty of older guys who are immature, and know some young people who show a lot of maturity for their age. Many here are like that, I suppose because they take their dog responsibilities seriously.

What is going on with everyone leaving? I have never seen so many people leave a forum before!
I have before lol, and it was just as pathetic. I won't name the forum though. Look I love it here, you guys are just awwwwww lovely. I am staying, me and mah animalkidlets. I just wanna pick you all up and give you squishy hugs, however, that would be hard cause I live all the way downunder LOL.

In response to all these people leaving, if you are leaving why are you writing Dear John letters? Ummm just go? I don't want anyone to leave, but we must remember in life, that not everyone is going to agree with us, or even want to hear our opinions half of the time. Even though we are all real, and in different parts of the world, and yes behind monitors, at the end of the day you only have to do one thing....

LOG OFF!!!! You have the power, but please don't spoil it for the rest of us with longwinded soppy goodbyes, that for some of us, have no idea why you're leaving anyways.

I'll repeat I love it here, and I know theres times not everyone is going to agree with me either, but thats life :)

Hmmm... when i left one chat/forum that i had been actively involved with for 8 years... i just left. No goodbyes needed. I have just returned to that chat/forum after 3 years of being gone looking for some people. I found those people, they've welcomed me back... but when i leave the next time it will be the same way - out the back door and quietly into the night.

Enjoyed your posts Fuzz. Have a nice one.

How come when certain people that everyone knows or "cares" about leaves then there are 20 pages of people begging them not to go? Then when myself and others wonder why they would make a thread about leaving we are flamed. Now today someone leaves that has less than 1000 posts and haven't belonged to the board since 1986 then it is OK for us to complain about "Dear John" threads. The ole double standard. This is a dog forum (a great one at that) do not pretend like you are going off to fight in WWII and have to say your final goodbyes in case you don't make it past enemy lines.
