Hi. Leo has entropian and needs to have surgery. I found a place that does laser surgery and I have searched on the internet for information on it, however, all the info is on websites for vet clinics or hospitals that actually do the procedure. Anyone have laser surgery of any kind done on their dog?

I have always had my dogs spayed/neutered. When I got Farley my vet had laser surgery available and that he what he had. Then when I had Chloe spayed I also agreed to the extra fee for the laser surgery. I do feel they both recovered quicker and their incisions healed faster that my prior dogs who had the conventional surgery. The vet also told me that it greatly reduces the amount of bleeding during the surgery.

Sending good vibes Leo's way for successful surgery & quick recovery!

Just wanted to let anyone who is interested in Laser Surgery know that our experience was wonderful. Leo had both of his eye's fixed and he is doing great. I have showed pictures of him to people who have had dogs have this surgery the standard way and they have said Leo looks wonderful. Anyway, always look into any option you choose when it comes to your furbaby.

Tracy, glad to hear that Leo's surgery went well! You went ahead and had both eyes done then .. in the long run that's probably for the best. I hope Leo heals quickly and doesn't have to visit a vet again for a LONG time.

Do you have pictures of his surgery?

Wow, that looks good. Looks like it should heal quickly and cleanly.

He'll be so much happier in the long run and the hair will grow back soon. You won't even be able to tell anything's been done.

Somewhere I have photos of Kylee after surgery, but in her case we shaved her face in a round circle (above her eyes too) and she was just a puppy so she looked like the cowardly lion from the wizard of oz .. *L* .. I actually kept her trimmed like that for awhile. I'll have to find one of those photos to show you.

Please give Leo a big hug from me and I hope he's done with vets now!

Tugger's neutering was done by laser surgery.....and he was acting his normal self when he got home that afternoon! There was no bleeding, scarring and you'd never know he had the procedure done.....except he's now "deflated". ;)Glad to hear Leo's surgery went well!
