Man does my neck hurt, car is ok, but ow ow ow. Doens't help that my neck is messed up to begin with, and my jaw is a wreck. She says a mini van cut her off and she didn't see me. How that could happen at a complete stopped light i don't know. Sure ruined my day. I took her info, just in case.

You should have called the cops and gotten a report filed, ESPECIALLY since you were injured!! Even if it's mild...

I dont know how it works in The states, but can you still go to the police station and make a report.

I would go get checked out by the DR. and maybe get some physio. I know when i had my car accident Physio and massage fixed me pretty much 100%

Sucks! I had this happen to me last September... my light was red and JUST as it turned green, someone slammed into the back of me. Ugh. I did not even see it coming and my back was hurt, too. The guy apologized and I got his info and everything but I didn't think any damage had been done... turned out it was $3000 worth of it to my back bumper. Stuff underneath that was affecting my trunk door, etc.

Never, ever leave a scene without a police report. For one thing, what's to stop the other person from calling in and saying YOU caused the wreck or even that YOU drove off from the scene? It happens. There are people out there who do that for a living.

It's a little late for that now. It just gave me a monster headache but I am ok..if my neck wasnt' messed up in the first place, and my jaw I don't think it would have hurt me. Either way, she wrote the stuff down, so it's in her hand writing. Thanks for the replies..I just needed to whine. Goes out to check my trunk.

Part of not wanting to call the police is bascially I thought i was sore, but no worse than when i fell of the lookout. what I can't stand anymore is the way every single police officer looks at me. Even the one that came out to collect the blood hound. He looked at my face, and asked me my name, my birth date...and so on. They all think I am a crack head and it makes me so **** mad I can't stand it. If i had called them they probably would have searched my car.....again. For any police officers that read this..facial lesions and thinness can happen for other reasons besides crack. Any immune system disease can cause a person to look like that. The fact that I was trying to do a good thing by getting that dog to a safe place until he could be hooked up with his owner does not mean I have to fork over my birth date and such. THe neighbor asked me (she was standing beside me when I handed him the leash) said why did he ask those questions. I told her they all do. She said I wouldn't have told him. I said I have no record, there is no reason why not to. it's just harder to explain it than to not. but inside it depresses me and that is what I thought when I looked at the car and saw it wasnt' damaged. It just wasn't worth it.

Call your insurance! You don't have to have a police report for that. Their insurance will pay for physical therapy if you need it, and will absolutely repair your car if there's any dent or anything.

What Cali said call your insurance. Even if its a little sore. It probably will get worse. And sometimes even if its a small minnor accident you can be very badly hurt and need the physio> Physio even helps if your a little sore.

I went out to check my trunk and realized it was the first time I really looked at it. I am so stupid. My bumper is cracked and my tail light is broken. I called her and she was snotty and said she didn't see any damage so I could send her some pics and she would see. So I said i guess i betterl go make a police report and hung up. . They asked me what her car was, white...that was all I could remember. I told her my hands were still shaking, my head hurt like heck, and for some reason inside my ear is the worst of all. My jaw joints have been removed, there is nothing holding anything in place, I had to practice opening and shutting my mouth by lookin in a mirror and trying not to let it see saw back and forth. Don't know if something banged into my ear drum or not, it's all so close in that spot. My son told me to go to the er, will see in the morning. All I want to do is lay down. I just got over the crutches and soreness from that, I don't need this.

She shouldn't have been so snotty, what an awful woman. At least the light had a camera on it, and it was all right there. Don't know if that is proof or not. I do have the paper with the info on it in her handwriting. I will call the insurance company in the morning. THe north patrol lady did not give me a hard time about appearance. I told her she was the first to not do so and I thanked her for that.
Thanks for everyone's support.

And what everyone else said about emergency care.....you need to get it documented soon so the insurance will know its from the wreck. (((morehugs)))

749 dollars worth of damage to the bumper. A wasted day, getting all of that over with.
At least my ears have quit ringing. I am as ok as I ever will be in that dept .I just can't deal with any more hospital er, doctor, more than I have to. i think I would pay not to have to go. So the car is enough. At least she was nicer to the insurance man than she was with me. She could have spared herself a ticket if she had just been decent last night.

smkie, please go to the ER asap...I'm not sure if its too late though. Whiplash injuries are a pain in the ass...and usually creep up weeks later. It may seem bearable now, but there is a chance (not saying it WILL for sure...) get worse...and then you're gonna be screwed :( They tend to be very chronic & very difficult to treat if you wait too long. The sooner you treat them though, the MUCH, much better the chance that you will have no long term issues.

So sorry this happened. ::HUGS::

I agree with the others---you should get checked by a physician just in case. As someone said,,you might not notice any problems until later. And look into getting the pics from the camera in case the other woman changes her mind and says she's not at fault.

A girl I work with got rear ended, they just exchanged names so the other woman could pay for damages. The next day co worker calls the woman, and woman says she doesn't remember the accident happening that way.!!
Since there were no witnesses, no police report, co worker had to pay for her own damages since other woman wouldn't admit fault.

what a pain, and what a mess--I hope you got it all straightened out. I understand why you wouldn't want to go to the ER--perpetually dealing with chronic health issues leaves you never wanting to see a dr. again. Take care of yourself. ((HUGS))
