Does anyone out there use the Kongs? If so, do you stuff them? I have been pluggin the little hole on top with peanut butter, then filling the Kong with water and bouillion (chicken or beef). Then I plug the big hole with peanut butter and freeze. My puppies love them!!! However, lately I have been wondering if these ingredients are good for them because they don't seem to be eating much of their regular food. Maybe I should just give less often? I was doing this almost everyday. Any advice? Thanks.

I don't currently use the kong but have been thinking about it. I'm not sure I would use the bouillons as I know they can be very high in sodium. What about a little plain yogurt instead, I think it would be a little more healthy.

Yea, that's what I was thinking....too much salt. Thanks for the yogurt suggestion. The Kongs are great for keeping your dog occupied. I also just read about a recipe where you crush up the Kong treats, add the paste or Hounds sauce.....put it in the Kong and freeze. That way you are using all dog food.

You can also try mixing their kibble with natural peanut butter, cottage cheese, yogurt, fruits and veggies... anything that your dog likes.

Sometimes we fill Buddy's with his kibble and then seal it with peanut butter. Or if he's been good and hasn't had a Kong in awhile we mix his kibble with the PB and then give it to him in the Kong.

Since his diet is supplemented with fruits and veggies, I've also done that a few times and then sealed with peanut butter.
