Just thought I'd check back in here since I was around a couple of years back, but have not been on the board for ages. I see a lot of the same people, and a lot of new ones, too.
Still married in WI with 3 sons (older now) and one spoiled dog. Megan (a Papillon) is just over 3 now, and I can't imagine things without her.
We've been talking about adding a second dog now that she's older, and that's what has me in kind of a research mode right now. I think my sons (who love Megan dearly and play with her all of the time) would like a slightly larger dog, as well, that could rough house a bit more, and actually fit a full-size tennis ball in their mouth. My concern is also not getting something too big for her, and just trying to match her personality. She's very outgoing in the house around us, but around other dogs she's very cautious and submissive. Our trainer had said she's very "respectful," and I suppose you need to be if you're only 7 lbs. For now, I'm hanging around Petfinder....looking for a medium-sizish little boy. (Megan has been spayed) We'll see how things go. Don't know if I want to start off with a puppy, again, since I value sleep.
Anyway (after all that) I thought I'd say "hi" formally instead of lurking in the shadows.
