Breeze please for me remember one thing while you are out on your own..your still terribly young and vunerable..be careful with yourself always..know your self worth and believe in yourself. There is a young woman i know, have known since her teenage days that is doing just fine in college now..in fact she rocks. She will be a cia soon. She majored in criminal law and spanish. She had a plan and she made it happen. If you knew what she has been thru you would want to applaude too. You are so very very young and need the proper support of a loving family.

Oh, wow... sorry to hear about all this Breeze. At first, I though "well, she's 18 and maybe it's time to move out anyway?" But now that I know you're 17, you're still legally your mother's it sounds like. Don't know what all the problems are about and don't need to know details, as I know you are just miserable. Is there anyway to get a job and plan for your future away from your yelling mom? Get some of your own money under your belt and you wouldn't believe the choices you'll have...

I am so very sorry and your mother should have her ass kicked royally. What mother kicks out her kid? Besides mine:)

You are not even legal age to be out I hope the police look into this more and charge her with abandondment, maybe that would wake her up as to how precious you are. If you ever need to chat I am always around and if you ever need a place to go you are always welcome here. Dogs and all! I live in Ontario, Canada but anytime. Do not get stuck out in the cold!

If she is over 16 the police won't do anything. Obviously that is the truth if they just called her mother to pick her up. If she had said no there is nothing they can do. If a 16 year old can emancipate themselves they can be kicked out of the house. Social services is of no use to anyone. They leave the kids that really need help in the abusive homes and the kids that really need their parents they just move them out of the house and into group homes. My family has been dealing with their crap for over a year now with my nephew and it is the most bogus half a$$ed operation i have ever seen.

i am sorry u r going through this but it sounds like it is for the better that you get out of there. blessing in disguise perhaps.

I don't imagine their social services are much better run. Although I hope they are. However she is 17 and is technically in the balance of needing a guardian and being her own legal guardian. Right now she could be either.

Steve here. Breeze is pretty much under house arrest right now..her moms called the school to have them not let her use their computers. Her step-dad is guzzling down every lie her mom and her brother sends at him. Shes not leaving on Saturday, shes not leaving for another two weeks and even then her mom will 'think about it' . Her mom is going to use her and hurt her for all she pleases until she turns 18..the american justice system..florida's at least is such bull***t.

Steve, I'm so sorry to hear what's happening. I wish there was some way she could get the help she needs. When, if you see her, please let her know we are all thinking of her.

All that has happened to breeze and now her mom does this. It does sound like her mom needs her a$$ kicked. I hope you can make it until you are 18 breeze and send you the best of hope from me.
