so today i tried to stip Milo's coat. Last time i did that was a while ago, and he was just a puppy. He kept trying to take the stripping knife out of my hand, so i had to think of a plan.

i took a paper plate and set it in the corner where he couldn't move it too much. i then spread a spoonful of peanut butter over the plate, very thinly. as he licked it off, i did his coat. it worked pretty well, though i thought it would take longer for him to lick it up than it actually did.

nice trick :) but it won't work out in the long run. try telling your dog sternly to stand still and give it treats every few minutes that it stands still. slowly increase the time between the treats and he'll catch on soon. saves u a lot of peanut butter

Charlie would pick up the plate, take a flying leap over my head, scramble around and over furniture and end up as far away from me as possible. Later I would find Charlie, happy as can be, surrounded by tiny remnants of slobbery paper plate, acting as if nothing had happened.
