K9 Julius harnesses?

Gusto does wear a straight across the front harness when he wears a harness, and I love it. It's a ComfortFlex, and it not only has a great handle on it, it is fast and easy to get on him - ideal with a young border collie/spider monkey cross.

Stryder has the same thing and I LOVE it. We used it for flyball (awesome!) and he wears it for outings. I think I'll be using it when we start biking soon. I love the ease of getting it on him and the handle is just icing on the cake.

Eve has one of these as a service dog vest.

Honestly? I LOVE the quality. I will not be buying anything different in the future. The vest is so well-made and sturdy, I don't actually use it as a harness but I could if something ever happened to her collar/headcollar.

I have a K9 Julius belt harness, I use it for bite work, and tracking work and I also use it on a double contact leash system (one clip on harness, one clip on head halti/collar) I LOVE IT! It is one of the best harnesses I could have bought. It is incredibly strong, and has stood up to a puppy chewing on it as well. I would buy another one in a heart beat even though it is pricey. It is NOT a popular product here, so it isnt and in crowd thing. In fact nobody I know owns one.
