I moved from the USA to the UK with my dog. I had a great food for my dog in the USA but unfortunately I cant obtain it in the UK..

I have spent the last few weeks reading up on various foods..at the moment I have my dog on Orijen its expensive and I can only get it from one place by mail order, plus my dog has really, really bad gas..

The other 2 are James Well Beloved and Symply, both of which are recommended by a few dog review sites. but both have their down side.

How do you decided which is the best food for your dog or is it a case of doing your best and trying a few until you find one that suits?

If its a case of trial and error, how long should I feed her the food until I know if its going to agree with her?

Any advise would be good...

I use jwb and can't fault it..... Bodhi's coat is like a mirror, she's fit, teeth are good, no probs. Although I haven't read up on it in a number of years!!

Out of curiosity. Where did you move too??

Eta it never gave her gas, but recently she's been vile so I wonder if they've changed an ingredient??

Thanks for your reply I moved to a little town called Inverbervie just outside of Aberdeen in Scotland.

I am leaning towards the JWB as I can buy it in a few shops the symply and the orijen is online only...

The JWB doesn't look terrible, but their 'normal' kibble is more rice than anything else. I'd take their 'cereal free' line it's got more meat.

Yes Scotland is very beautiful, I am very, very lucky, I live in a small town south of Aberdeen, 5 minute walk to the beach one way and 5 minute walk to the hills the other...I count my blessings every day I walk my dog...
