I've been browsing this forum for some time now and finally decided to join the conversations by becoming an actual member. Here I am 
As you might be able to tell by my user name, I'm representing myself as well as the place in which I spend many hours of the day, my workplace, the Santa Cruz SPCA. I'm the development coordinator but pretty much do everything from planning/coordinating events, fund-raising and public relations to adoptions and caring for our animals I absolutely love my job!
The Santa Cruz SPCA is somewhat unique because we are a completely non-profit, no-kill shelter that houses our animals in a cage-free environment. We are a rather small facility but do nearly 100 dog and cat adoptions a month.
Aside from work, I'm a life-long dog lover (and horse) and have one of each. I have a 6yr Chi/Doxie mix named Sage and a 9yr Paint/Thoroughbred named Biggs. Here is a pic of each
