I've been volunteering since last November at my local humane society where I walk, play, exercise, and feed and water the dogs. My sister, my friend, and I do a lot of the grooming(nail trims, brushing, bathing and when puppies or dogs come in covered or fleas and ticks, we get the pleasures of removing the ticks and bathing the flea infested dogs/puppies). I also work as a dog trainer and will do some training with some of the dogs, and I also temperament test all the dogs that come into the shelter. They've been wanting to hire us since only two weeks after we started volunteering, but did not have the room or funds. Some of their staff is going off to college, so now I am finally going to be hired as kennel hand.
