I just had to tell a funny thing that happened this morning. Hubby and I took the dogs to the park for a walk and romp. The day has been glorious today, so we took advantage of it. The park is huge and spans over three sections, so plenty of room for all. There were some adults and kids kicking a soccer ball around, and one elderly man walking his little dog onlead. We waited till he had moved along, then we let our two offleash. Our two had a ball romping playing, sniffing, running. We were on our last stretch of the park and heading back when a man entered with a gorgeous Dobie. This was indeed a handsome fellow, and the gentleman who wasn't a young guy, but seemed very agile, and appeared to be doing some training with his dog. We were a good ways away but watching him with his pooch. Ours were having a good look at the dog, but it was nearing time to go home. Max was up and alert, and my husband called him. He was watching this dog, so hesitated on his come so my husband repeated the command, and changed his tone to a firmer one. Of course Max was like oh huh yes dad? oh sorry I'm coming now LOL. He took his time coming over and my husband is like c'mon what are you doing hurry up. Well Max put the sad frown on and plonked himself down and rolled over on his back for a tummy rub. Oh gawwdd said hubby what was all that about you big sook.
Meanwhile the Dobie's owner heard my husbands firmer voice and was standing watching. I said oh god look at him, he must be thinking we beat Max over the head or something I was so embarassed, I can just imagine what he was thinking lol..I said to hubby how embarassing. When of course he saw Max happily get up and sit nicely for his leash to be put back on he must have thought oh that dog is ok after all.
So yeah It was funny, but very embarassing...we took our horribly beaten and abused but happy dogs LOL and went home ..
