It's never ending...

First there was the whole Virgo adventure (two ER trips in two days, 3 different kinds of meds) and now Sawyer, apparently feeling left out of the loop, has decided to start throwing up and get diarrhea.

He's got a vet appointment for 10am tomorrow already. But boy am I glad I keep dog blankets spread in the back of the RAV...that was a big puddle of vomit...

I don't know which to feel more sorry for: my dogs or my bank account.

Hope they feel better soon! I have come to the conclusion, that when one dog gets sick, the others feel left out and so they gotta come down with "something"..

I swear each time I pay off my vet bill, something new crops up,,I keep telling my vet I'm "afraid" to pay off my last 50$ because someone will come down with something!!

It must be something in the air!!

A friend of mine just said today that she is working on the world's largest vet bill in a one month period. She'll have to work hard to top mine this month, though. Spanky's been sick and has had tests run a couple of times, and one of my cats has been sick too!! What a bill!!

On top of that, the vet sent the annual checkup card for the one cat who's been sick. Of course, I already knew he was due because they were going to give him his shots when I took him in for the urinalysis if all had been normal (but it wasn't).

It was on the verge of getting ridiculous, the number of times my friend and I were at the vet's office over the last 20-30 days!!

My husband had to take Spanky for one of his rechecks, and I told the vet's office to put any charges on my credit card. My husband copes much better not knowing how much we spend on vet bills, boarding, etc., and he knows it!!

Most important, though, hope your pups are feeling back to normal soon.

I'm hoping that it's only the new marrow bone I gave him yesterday that isn't agreeing with him. But this bill will be a lot smaller than any of Virgo's, simply because it's the regular vet and not the ER. And I get a discount at this vet's.

Never did find out what was making Virgo sick, but she's back to normal at any rate. Now all she has to take are her Vitamin K pills.

Ooops I didn't read it very well the first time round, I thought it was Virgo who was ill again. I'm glad she's back to her self anyway .

Just got back from the vet's, where everything checked out. The vet didn't think I needed to do bloodwork or a fecal, so it was probably just a big or something. I can start feeding him again this afternoon.

Virgo is totally fine and has put on 2 pounds this week, for a grand total of 63 pounds Yay! Now only 7 to go to put her up to 70!
