Well tomorrow is my birthday  . I was SO looking forward to going out for a nice dinner and a movie or something. We have a babysitter for our little girl Emily but noone wants to babysit the boys. Oh well, looks like we'll just have to do a pizza and a movie here with the kids. I had a little party at my parent's house today. My grandma and grandpa were there and my little niece was there (as well as me, mark, Emily, and the boys.) I got money from everyone. So that's good, atleast we can have money to take the boys out to the movies. I want to see the new Willy Wonka movie, I think they'll like that. Maybe we'll take the boys to that movie and then to Mcdonald's or something (I'm not even gonna risk taking them to a nice sit down restuarant) and our friends can still watch Emily for us. I know the littlest boy sat down and made me a card, because he was having me help him make it. I doubt the oldest boy will even talk to me tomorrow, we're not getting a long right now because he got on the internet without my permission and was looking at stuff he shouldn't be looking at. Well, if I'm not on tomorrow it's because it's my birthday and we are out doing something.

Ah, Julie. It sounds like you're making the best of a difficult situation. That littlest one kind of makes up for all the rest of it though, doesn't he? He sounds like a love. The older one is going to test you every step of the way . . . but he needs you to be firm and fair. You can be the one person he can depend on to be consistent, and that will make a gigantic difference in his world.

If you and your hubby like it, buy yourselves a nice bottle of sparkling wine to share after you put the kids to bed, put it in a bucket with some ice, and crawl up in the bed (maybe with fresh, sweet smelling sheets) and toast your birthday!

And you can think about that trip to the lawyer's office as a long-term birthday present to yourself . . . [evil laughter]

And know that we'll be thinking about you and wishing you so many more happy birthdays ahead. :D

I'm 30 minutes early , but Happy birthday friend. With 3 kids I was in your shoes many times !!! Now that they're grown, they're making up for it by taking me out to dinner on my birthday !!! I love being in my 70s.!!!! Your time will come. Funny tale...when I turned 40 I asked my dear husband what was planned..... he said why don't you go fly a kite !!! So I left him with the kids, bought a kite and flew it !!!! Did my heart good !!!

can you get a parental control on your computer..i would do it immediately before the boy sets u up for a variety of viruses you never knew were out there..and a lot more, if the wrong stuff is on there and you don't know it, u take you puter in for repair..and now you are reported.....i have had too many teen boys in my house to not have learned the hard way. It's good advice i promise...block it before it gets u too. I didn't get reported but i was horrified..they look stuff up that you have no idea even exsists.
on a lighter note, sounds like your taking the higher road, happy birthday my friend.

Happy Birthday!!!!!!!

A firewall may be a good investment for you. You'd be able to have the freedom of allowing your boy on to the internet more freely (thereby showing more trust in him which will help him trust you too) and not worry about bad things on your computer. There are many different kinds of firewalls out there from high securty that blocks all things bad, to low security which only blocks the worst

yeah we stayed home ordered a pizza and watched a movie. We played with the dogs. My hubby waited on me hand and foot all day. I opened my presents in the morning (I got 2 movies, the lovebird, and ofcourse Mack getting neutered was also part of my present). We put everyone to bed and then laid down and watched the movie Two Brothers (with the tiger cubs). I was surprised that was sort of a sad movie.
