Let's face it, when you strip away all of the rhetoric and 'patriotic' chest thumping, war is just plain silly.

Agree....but let's not forget what got us to where we are.....It wasn't kissing babies and worrying if the enemy will enjoy being shot with one bullet vs. another.

No, war is just plain silly . . . not just silly for us or them. It's silly for everyone. Pointless in the grand scheme of things. We're nothing more than a bunch of children fighting over dividing the sandbox into our own little sections of sand, screaming "MINE" instead of playing nicely together and having a grand time.
