Maybe I'm just imagining things, but Mabel always seems to be a little lethargic the day after taking her preventative heartworm medication. Not lethargic in a big way, but doesn't zoom around the yard as much, tug as hard or long when playing and much more willing to nap.
Of course, with dogs it's hard to tell if they're really feeling something...or if they are mirroring what we're thinking.
Is it normal for dogs to be a little less active after heartworm med? Again, this regards the monthly preventative med, not the cure med.
