every dog i've owned always had color-coordinated gear - for my great dane it was black, blue and white for example, and all of quigley's stuff is either red and black or black: collar, regular leash and 20 ft field lead, travel food bag and bowls, folding crate, gear bag and bait bag, dog backpack and so on.

not that it's horribly important, but buying color coordinated stuff is something i enjoy doing. it probably goes back to when i still had horses and every horse at the stable had different colored halters, ropes, buckets, brushes and so on, so people could keep them apart.

here he is, proudly carrying his pack. :D

He is so cute with his backpack. And, yes my dogs are color coordinated. Roxie has everything in purple, Brutus is red, and Maggie is black with hot pink, yellow and green smilie faces. I think mine goes back to my horse days also. The horses had halters and lead ropes, and blankets to match. At least we know they look good in public. And they know they look good also. Good for the morale.lol

Well, the collars and leashes both coordinate to the dog's coloration, so I guess. Aubrey has grey/black pattern and Sawyer is grey/blue pattern. I haven't bought them too many accessories yet. But I like red for Aubrey and blue for Sawyer so when they do get stuff, that's what it will be.

Bluedawg has a black collar, black leash and a red long lead. He also has a neon green collar for camping thanks to Smkie, thanks a gain for that. Everything else is a free for all.

I did that with my horses too Mordy. I tried to with my dogs but it's just too much lol. I just grab whatever leash is handy. Or when I buy them - the cheapest

I guess I kind of am, I didn't notice it till u mentioned it. Boomer's harness, hiking pack, leash, collars, drinking bowls are all either blue or red. Weird. Same with Carry except his stuff is green.

Peanut's attire is chosen strictly by yours truly. My mom and sister wanted to dress her up in pink with bows on her collar. Not gonna happen.lol. Peanut always wears red and black. Right now, its a black and red collar with a black leash.

Been trying to decide what colour to go with for the new addition (I need to pick a name!)... She is blue merle, so I was thinking purple or red for her... Going shopping for puppy stuff in a few days, can't wait!

I love pink too, so tempted to go all pink... How mean of me, the poor little thing!

I dont know, I pick equipment by durability and comfort of use, not by color... but whatever floats your boats

Well, I guess we are? Quincy's into leather, so brown leather collar and leash.

I did redecorate the bedroom in "his" colours. Didn't even realize until after that everything from the bedspread to the cushions to the walls matches the dog, LOL.

May is purple. Purple collar, purple leash, purple bandana. She also has a pink leather collar for which I need to buy a matching pink leather leash.

i'm not saying i disregard quality of the equipment, comfort of use and other factors, but whenever i want something and it's available in the "proper" colors, i'm not buying random ones. :D
