Is this a good deal?

Its funny that the D50 was mentioned, because I just got done chatting with a man who is selling his Nikon D50.

He says that it is in mint condition. I seen a few pics of it and it looks great. It has 1107 clicks. And he is asking $320 for it. A good deal or no?

He lives 2 hours away, so I figured I'd ask you guys about this first. I didnt know there was a D50 either. What is the difference between the D40 and D50? Is the D50 as easy to use and figure out as the D40? Pros and cons?

Thanks a ton.

I completely agree, especially when others in this thread who have criticized have or are receiving financial assistance ;)

Good luck on your camera hunt! If I hear/see of any good deals on D40s I'll let you know.

And pllllllleeeeassseee post some updated pictures of the girls and Truffles ASAP. I'm having Truffles withdrawals :p

Also, you may want to look into getting a Nikon D50 (you can probably find one for around $200).
Dont worry. I cant wait to snap some awesome shots of Truffles once I get a DSLR camera! I just took the most adorable pics of Lily yesterday, and of course her big sis too.

That sounds like a really nice deal to me. :) I payed $400 for my D40x (10.2mp) with the same lens.

Thanks, Lizmo. Interesting link you posted. Well, if all goes as planned, I will have the camera on tuesday. Now I get to go all the way to seattle. Hopefully I wont get lost...

Ritz camera had a great deal on my camera. Like, crazy good. More stuff than you need, and out of your price range but... for $610 I got a 55-200 lens, the kit lens, camera body, bag, hood, and loooots of stuff.

Not sure if they have specific deals or what but, good luck!
