We have been feeding our 17 week old Golden Innova Large Breed. The Vet recomended DermaPet Eicosaderm . Is this a good idea or is not needed?

What's in it? It may not be needed, but it may not hurt. Can't really say. :)

How is your pup doing on the food? Is it the LB puppy or LB adult?

How is she doing on it? Why would the vet make that recommendation? Is her skin flaky or something? It sounds like a skin/coat supplement.

I'm assuming that it has a lot of eicosapentanoic acid, thus the name "Eicosaderm". Docosahexaenoic acid is more beneficial for your puppy's cognitive development but you want to keep things balanced.

I don't think the supplement will be of any major benefit. Fish body oil (specifically salmon) would be much more beneficial.

I use Lakse Kronch, others on this board prefer Grizzly Salmon Oil.
