The Filas do it. Looking at Kharma, if you didn't see her face and ears, you'd swear you were watching a lioness hunting -- even the tip of her tail twitches slightly like a cat's.

It really sets the other dogs' nerves on edge, lol. She is a little TOO into it and you can see the panic set in for a second when they see her almost on top of them -- they aren't really 100% sure she's not serious.
That's how dogs are with Bella when she does it, too. :p

Yeah, our dogs all do it... but then again, they're all herders... so it's not breed specific in our house, but maybe group specific? However, like it's been said, the ones who do it more often are the more prey driven ones, so basically, Bella, Psyche and Zoey all do it the most. Bella usually does it to Morrie, my sisters dog, or Tinky; Psyche does it to everything except her toys; Zoey does it to Bella or Tinky.

One of my APBTs that my brother owns, Zydeco, not only stalks but he will point, too. We trained him to point, but it's kinda funny in a way to see him do that.

However, I have seen a lot of dogs stalk prey (or whatever...balls, frisbees, couch cushions...), but never have I witnessed an 87 lb dog (and growing!) stalk sooooo quietly! Renee had told me how lion-like they were, but I really believe you have to see it to believe it! This dog could sneak up on you and you would never realize it. She was so dang quiet not a blade of grass would make a noise.

Noodle, Rocket, and Ruby are stalkers, but they all also have a good level of prey drive.

Ruby will stalk a bird all the way up to the bottom of the fence and catch it when it takes off.

Rocket will stalk the neighbor teenagers when they are messing around the fence...never seen anything like it. He's dead silent until he gets his nose pressed up against a gap in the boards, then roars his head off. I've been out there before and witnessed this poor guy next door fall over when Rocket got thisclose to his hands. He does it to birds the same as Ruby does, but he's not as graceful as she is.

Noodle will stalk any rabbits that are dumb enough to show themselves in the yard.

Allie misses 99% of things related to sight...she's so stuck following her nose that she'll literally run past animals.

PW, was my Fila. She was a rescue. Sadly, her brain was a mess and if I could find her breeders, I'd let them have it. All of it. (She came from bybs somewhere near/in Southaven, MS)
