Gramz you smoke?!?!?!

I never would've guessed that you smoke

It is a dirty, dirty habit. And always, when I look into the future with my family and MY house, I've never seen myself smoking... yet I still continue. Not much though I must say ;)
From an ex smoker of many years, smoking is not a habit, it is an addiction and it is just like being hooked on heroin or cocaine. The only difference, is the drug is nicotine. I have known people that got off heroin but never could quit smoking cigarettes. If you ever see someone die of lung cancer, you will never smoke another cigarette.

Anyone catch the report that the cigarette manufacturers, over the past six years, have been upping the nicotine (and hence, the addictiveness) of their products significantly? They seem to be upping the nicotine in the brands that are most popular among teens and African-Americans.
and selling them singularly in third world countries:( to ANYONE OF ANY AGE

trying to ensure their market as the rest of us wise up.

My dog died of lung cancer, he was not around smoke. STill, i would never subject my dog or family to that. I quit more then a decade ago and am so relieved. Hope you can too. Do it for the dog.;)

I smoke, but not around Sadie or my cats. I figure they can get second hand smoke the same as a person. I do smoke in the house, but if she's laying on the couch beside me, I will go to the kitchen to smoke instead of smoking right next to her.

Habit addicted, you all know what I mean. It's dirty, that's the main point.

I've only recently actually become addicted, now that I live on my own and can smoke whenever I wanted. When I lived with my parents I couldn't. I would go for hours and not crave a cigarette. I also quit from smoking a pack and a half a day to nothing cold turkey for about a year.

But I've never really taken it up "seriously" again. I smoke tops 7 cigarettes a day. Normally closer to 5.

I would think it would be bad for them . . . Also, some smokers have their sense of smell affected by smoking, right? I wonder if that could happen to a dog. That would be pretty sad, seeing as how much they use their nose. (Gotta check out that fire hydrant, you know! ;) )

Roxy ... I'm proud of the way you cut down .!!! When we moved here and Tom was on oxygen , I never smoked in the house..... when he died I went haywire !!! I wish I'd been strong enough to stay on the right track .

I lost my Grandma to smoking, she was on oxygen and would still light up. My mom spent 2wks in the ICU with COPD and CHF before she finally sucummed to it, I would not how my mom suffered on my worst enemy. Mom tried to stop smoking for years and couldn't do it. smoking. One of my aunts who chain smoked gave it up after she saw how my mom suffered in the hospital.

Yes I want to be very loving with my dog so I'll give it up. I know it will be hard but atleast I have made up my mind; a few mistakes can happen but it will stop!
