I can get Eagle Pack small breed puppy food right down the street from me for $8.00 for a 6 pound bag. Is the regular line of Eagle Pack a good food? ( I have a chihuahua puppy) that's all they carry.

for some reason why they don't carry the Holistic. They mainly sell fancy dog clothes, beds, etc and have a little bakery (they don't sell animals) They next closet place that sells it is 30 min from me.

I agree with Zoom. You don't have to go holistic but if you want to just ask your store to bring it in. They should be able to get it from the same distributor as regular Eagle Pack. It's the same company!

hmmm , maybe I'll skip it, although the puppy formula's first ingredient is chicken.

What about Timberwolf, I can order that online, what is a good one for a chihuahua puppy?

I feed Eagle Pack Holistic, but I wouldn't feed their regular line of foods. My other favorite food is actually Timberwolf Organics. I think their Southwest Chicken & Herbs, Dakota Bison, or Wilderness Elk are probably best for most dogs. They're all life stage foods, so they're fine to feed to a puppy. :)

The Timberwolf Organics Wild & Natural is a nice choice for toy breeds. Small kibble size and a higher/protein and fat amounts for the faster metabolism of the little guys. My pugs do fabulous on it and it is very palatable. I will catch Hanna staring at the dog food bin for no apparent reason other than she thinks she deserves a snack, lol:rolleyes:
