ive seen prices of upwards fo $150 an hour for behaviourists to come to your home so price wise its not bad depending on lenght of visits and frequency, IF it works.
From your initial consultation how do YOU feel about this trainer, do they seem like there worth the money, do they seem to know what there talking about, are they trying to teach you not only the dogs, what are their training methods (positive reinforcment/negtive reinforcment)
If you feel comfortable with this trainer and all seems good i would bring them in on a session by session basis, and see how things are going. or a "satisfaction guarentee" that doesnt mean the person will have to "fix" your dog or you dont pay, more like after 3 session sif the person seems like a quack you pay for the sessions you have had and are not obligated to continuing the sessions.
and CHECK references and credentials!
Ive seen wonderfull trainers and ive seen crazy people who make up credentials and references and make things up as they go along because they know the kind of money behaviourists CAN make.
use your best judgment!
But i think if the trainer can help, agression is a problem that is on my MUST SORT OUT list because it can quickly escilate into something more severe (ie a person being bitten) $700 is nothing compared to the life of your dog if something like a visious attack was to happen.
Good luck!
