I picked up a small (well, small is relative) bag of Innova yesterday. Middie is nuts for it.

It's Innova Adult.. main ingredients are Chicken, Turkey, Barley, Rice, and Potatoes.

Linky.

Opinions? Anything and everything, please.

I feed it and love it dearly. Virgo shines like she's been polished, Sawyer shines as well, though it's harder to tell because of his coloring, poops are so easy to clean up and don't smell too bad, shedding is minimal...I keep thinking about rotating in another bag of something, but keep putting it off.

I feed Chloe the EVO, but she was on Innova before that and she did great on it :)

I think Innova is great.

I decided to give Canidae a try and the dogs don't look as glossy and their poops aren't as.. erm... firm as they were before. And I have to bribe them to eat it, lol. Whereas the Innova they were nuts for.

I'm switching again, but I think this time I'm going to do EVO. :)

Mine started out on Innova, then graduated to Innova EVO when they were old enough. When the EVO RM (red meat) formula came out I snagged a bag of it and they're all over it.

Mine all started out on Innova in the green bag, but graduated to EVO when they got older. They love the stuff and look amazing on it.

THANK YOU, everyone!! :) Just wondering what your experiences were, and I am glad to hear they were good. I hope Middie has the same luck on it.

Like Nikki's guys, Lizzie had to be bribed to eat her Canidae. Now we're on EVO and she goes nuts for the stuff. Good breath, firm stools, nice coat. :)

My girls are on EVO now and they like it much better than Canidae. They've only been on it for a little while but so far so good. :)

I fed Innova in the past and had no complaints. For my dogs, their stool was softer than normal which never happens with them. Overall, I really like the foods Natura makes. I wish regular Innova didn't contain barley, however.

I love how my dogs look on Innova. their coats truly gleam. but for mine...they don't love it. I've stuck to it because I cannot find any other quality brand in the area. as it is, the only feed store that carries Innova is miles away (luckily hubby travels far for work, so he stops) I WISH they loved it...but they just don't. ugh!

Why is that, Showpug? You've mentioned barley in previous posts, I think.
Barley is an extremely high gluten grain which can be a major allergy trigger in some dogs. I personally try to avoid some of the bigger allergy triggers in pet food. With that said, many, many dogs eat diets that contain barley with no issues...just like many dogs eat diets with corn with no issues. It's the same thing. Barley and corn are high gluten grains.

Mine have been eating it for a year now. I have to disagree on the smell of the poop. It smells. Granted it's worse with the tripett, but prior to that it was smelly just the same.
Sometimes the male has loose poop so I have to be careful over feeding.
Is it better to switch to Evo? I see where most people "graduate" to it. I don't have a reason why I don't and wondering why you do... (does that make sense?)
I have no complaints with the adult Innova. Coats are shiney, less shedding (the male was so bad when I got him, was eating royal canin german shepherd and now he sheds less, has a shinier softer coat). Definitely pro Innova here.

Yes, it does still smell. All poop is going to smell...but it's not quite the gaggingly sick smell that cheaper foods tend to give. After 2+ years of doing kennel work, I've had to smell quite a bit of poop and after awhile I could usually tell who fed what to their dogs, at least as far as quality went.
