Well I started off with cali natural puppy but my local pet shop stopped carrying it.so I switched to innova puppy. My dog seems to be having loose stool with it(its been 4 weeks). I even took her to the vet because I was worried but she checked out fine. Shes almost 5 months. I know all dogs react different to food but is there any that has a good rep for being easy on the stomach. Ill probably have to order it because the nearest decent dog food place is 90 minutes away. Canadia is nice and cheep(im just a poor ski bum) so it appeals to me but in reality price is not the main factor.
Any sugg?? would be great
Thanks

I have heard this complaint a lot with Innova and the puppy formula especially. Innova is a very good food, but if it doesn't agree with your dog I would move on. You may want to try the Canidae Chicken & Rice or one of the Eagle Pack Holistic Select foods. They seem to have a good "poop" reputation. :)

Innova is a great food with great ingredients... but it doesn't work for every dog. My dogs had horrible loose stools and gas while on Innova... we switched their foods, and the problem was solved.

Yeah, move on to something else. My puppy had loose stools for a while on Innova puppy. Sometimes they would be ok and other times loose again. He was on it for a couple of months. But, when he was one I moved him to the Innova adult formula and he is fine on it. Not a loose stool since he switched to adult. So, try another puppy formula till she is ready to for the innova adult, if you want to feed her that.

A common cause for dogs having loose stools on Innova is that they are fed too much. See what reducing the amount just a little bit (~10%) does.

Same issue with my new puppy, knuckling over, loose stools. For now 42% protien Evo, as quickly as he's growing was too much. Using Canidae as well.

What kind of puppy? Generally speaking, Innova Evo should not be fed to puppies. There are some exceptions for toys and small terriers, but never feed it to larger breed puppies!!!!!!!!
