Innova EVO or Solid Gold?

My dad bought this brand of dog food called "Solid Gold" from a natural foods store a while ago, and we looked at the ingredients and thought it looked pretty good... (of course I'm not an expert at all when it comes to dog food)

We are currently feeding Charlie Innova EVO, so I was wondering, which is better?

Definately stay with the INNOVA Evo! If my boy didn't have stomach problems he would still be on it for sure. It is much better than the solid gold IMO.

I used and liked solid gold.. till la few months back they changed some of their ingredients and didn't switch the bags to reflect that. Apparently if they deem the changes 'minor' you have 6 months to use up 'old bags' with the new food. Bunch of us on another board had our dogs get ill because we didn't know of the change, and the ingredients downgraded some.

After that I'm not impressed with them as a company, and won't support them. I'd stick with Innova.

Solid Gold is good food, but I rank Innova Evo much higher. If you can get the Evo, I would stick with that.

One of Tosca's littermates had problems with Solid Gold Hundenflocken and got switched recently.

i'd stick with the evo. i've fed solid gold and wasn't that impressed with the results.

One of my beagles eats EVO. The other eats Solid Gold's Barking at the Moon. She didn't like EVO.

They are both high protein, low carb foods and they look pretty similar to me.

I would stick with EVO.

FYI, Barking at the Moon is Solid Gold's competing product with EVO. I think that Barking at the Moon is comparable to EVO, but I think that EVO is a better product.

I didn't like Solid Gold for a while because I tried Wolfcub and had bad results with my pups..

I went to get some Eagle Pack a couple weeks ago, but found that they didn't have what I needed. So I thought I would give Solid Gold's barking at the moon a chance.. It has worked great so far.. firm stools, great coat, and the love it as much as any food that I have fed in the past..

Evo is a great food, if your dog is doing well on it..
