Try cutting her back gradually and substituting a filler like canned green beans to make up the difference.

If you are cutting back her portions, but still feeding something else to make up for it - she still isn't going to lose any weight. Right?

Caloric density. Green beans have far fewer calories than dog food--thus, the volume will be the same but she will receive less usable food.
