We had an awesome day yesterday!

It's been getting warmer and less rainy so more dogs have been out and about.

Yesterday I took Nia to play in the field and 4 other dogs showed up to play too and Nia wasn't reactive at all. She stared a little but when I called, immediately gave attention back to me. Maybe it's because I had a ball...:lol-sign:

Two out of the 4 dogs, a Shelter and a Dobe actually approached her while she was ignoring them and she did bark a few times which I allowed because those dogs were in her face when they shouldn't be. She doesn't growl or snap, just barks.

A year ago there would've been no way she could've ignored them off leash. She would have charged as fast as possible towards them while barking like a nut.

Yayyayyay!!! I'm glad finally it's getting somewhere. I worked with her the entire last summer with seemingly very minimal progress but it's getting better :D

Also, yesterday's Sheltie was the first well-bred sheltie I've ever met. He was goooorrrrgeous and he was playing ball too with stays, downs and heels. So well behaved and awesome :D. Also, very very quiet and not barky <3

Great work! :) Nothing like seeing all your hard efforts pay off big time, especially when you're feeling like little to no progress is being made. Sometimes, they just surprise you. Keep it up!
