It seems like everyone is getting new puppies and I'm feeling left out! I really want another dog, which is silly because neither of my current two are fully obedience trained and throwing a third into the mix is just asking for trouble. *sigh* I want either another Aussie, Border Collie or Rottie...and it's going to be at least 2 years before it's even a possibility. I work with dogs all day long, you think I'd be happy to come home to just two of them.

Zoom, after work I was thrilled to come home to my two dogs who listen to me, hold still when I ask them to and shut up when I tell them to.. lol.

I've got full-blown puppy fever and it's all I can do to wait until Spring for my little girl.

I feel your pain Zoom. I was in my room doing homework and I started thinking about this dog I met a while back, a bullmastiff. The absolute sweetest dog I've had the pleasure of meeting. he was a big boy, too. Only a few months old and he was already at 90lb.

**Remember, youre not alone! lol

yes, you may feel left out but just think you don't have to go through all the housebreaking and everything we have to go through. You just have to sit back and listen to us having our housebreaking problems.

zoom, i know how you feel! :(

a friend of mine is planning on breeding her female smooth collie next year and i would love to have one of those puppies more than anything. she's one of the best, most responsible breeders i have ever met, and her dogs are wonderful. at least one and possibly two other friends of mine will get puppies from that litter and i'm hopelessly jealous - this litter would be a "once in a lifetime" chance of owning an outstanding dog, especially in regards to temperament and working ability.

unfortunately my husband is not a dog person at all and we have an agreement that we will not have another pet as long as we still have our 5 cats - so there's no chance i can possibly talk him into it, and i really don't want any more pets than i already have.

*sigh* :p

Mordy, I feel for you. My husband wasn't a pet person either. That was until he met me and realized he was a pet person if he liked it or not.

My boyfriend and I are both huge pet people...my parents not so much and unfortunetly, I have no idea when I'm going to be able to afford to move out of their house. Dad likes Sawyer well enough when he's behaving, but doesn't really care for Aubrey too much. :(

I think I just need to keep telling myself "I don't have to housebreak, I don't have to housebreak..."

I know what you mean Zoom...I've been wanting to get another Dachshund puppy, but the better sense in me says "not right now"!!!! I don't know what I'll do. You'll make the right decision...we can never have to many dogs....right? :D

I hear you too, I browse the puppy rescue where I got Tips everyday and I fall in love everyday, lol. Although I'm more interesting in adult dogs at the moment, and it's really not the right time anyway... but gosh they are cute.

I know what you mean...and I've really been wearing my mom down, I am just so close to getting her to say we can get another dog now. I know sometime soon enough we will get another one, but I really don't want to wait until whenever that is! And now that it's starting to get colder, my mom really doesn't want a puppy now because she doesn't think I'll want to go outside in the freezing weather with one! :(

Seeing everyone else get puppies is not helping me in the slightest lol. It's weird, I've never really thought of having 2 dogs, because it's the kind of thing I didn't think my mom would ever go for (she loves animals, she just somehow has the strength to limit herself to only a few), but once I knew we could get another dog...it's all I could think about!

You're not alone. :p

I wanna cuddle with a puppy....but I don't wanna own one lol. I've never been all that into puppies, just like I prefer adult cats to kittens. I'm a freak but I like to know exactly what they will look like/behave like as adults and when they are adults....I can find that out easy!

No one here could be more puppy hungry than I !! After breeding for so many years , how I loved my pups !!! But, there becomes a time and a place when you realize than that more isn't better... for the breed you love or the dogs you own. I'm at the place of replacing the voids in my heart....with rescue. But, I agree, there nothing like puppy breath!

This is why I have young adult rescues and not puppies right now, because while I know a bunch of puppy theory, putting it into practice is something totally different. I want more experience handling dogs in general before I undertake a puppy...but I want that experience as well! Guess I'll just have to wait until RD gets her breeding progam off the ground, because it looks like her litters and my ability to have a pup are going to coincide fairly closely.

I totally feel the same way. I told my husband the other day that Leo needed a puppy. He looked at me like I was nuts!! lol I can't really handle another puppy right now (3 kids, 3 cats and 1 puppy is plenty!), but I see so many puppy pictures every day I just want to take them all home!!!

I tell you what started it all, in addition to everyone's puppy pictures they post...it's that Aussie pup in my signature that Keyo made for me! I love it, but I look at that face and just think "I want it!"

Well, as a person who has a newly acquired puppy, I can say, anytime you feel like coming over to the UK and taking her for an hour then feel free!! ;) And any time you feel like cleaning up any little 'accidents', then come on over! Also, if you fancy making sure you take her outside every 20mins or so, you're welcome! ;) If only having a puppy was all about cuddles!

Just trying to help relieve the pangs :D
