ok knowledgeable dog trial people.

i attempted! to enter luce in a rally trial at the end of the month. i sent in the registration form at the beginning of april. the trial is full now but it doesn't technically close until wednesday. i have not heard anything from them at this point. my check has not been cashed. does this mean anything? or does it not mean anything until after the registration has closed? or am i just out of luck?

:yikes:

Hahahaha. A year ago I was EXACTLY where you are. No one had answers for me other than BREATHE.

In rally the event I entered was by a new club and they were slow. You won't hear back till the trial closes, and they have time to put the running order together. Then they usually send you by email the running order. approximate times, anything you want to know like food vending, crating area instructions..

A week to two weeks pre trial date is normal for hearing from them.. If you don't get in your cheque should be mailed back to you often asap.. before the trial even closes if they got full that quickly. Some places update their sites to tell you that it was full x number fo days before close, etc.

Some things I've entered they cashed my cheque like 2 months pre trial, other ones like the day pre trial. That alone I wouldn't consider note worthy.

If you are totally panicked and need to know you could send an email.. tell them you are a totally new competitor, never entered anything before and were wondering about their procedures. So far I wouldn't worry yet though :)

My first agility trial I was also just as freaked out.. Stuff here doesn't fill like it does stateside because we have so much stuff in Ontario at least but I freaked..

If you are that antsy, seriously write them a little note and be applogetic at your antsyness ;)
