On the topic of names again....

Do you feel like the name you chose suites your dog? I think Ryker's name is a little too serious for his goofy playful mannerisms. If I were to re-name him I would name him Finn or Flynn, something short and fun sounding.

I was kind of "Eh" with Gypsy's name, but decided to keep it because she already knew it. If I renamed her she would be Petunia...she just looks like her name should be Petunia.

My sister wanted Frodo's name to be George when he first came home. Froman is such a George type dog. But I still like Frodo, and think it fits him.

The only other name contender for Siri was Rage/Rageous. I still love the name, but Siri fits her so, so well. I can't see her as anything else.

I like Chomper's name for him. I renamed Little Foot from Oli. I too had at first been thinking of keeping it Oli, just because he knew it, although I was never 100% feeling the name, and though it was a name I didn't mind - we now have Little Foot with Chomper. :)

Patton was *almost* Zulu, and I would re-name him Zulu without much thought. He is so a Zulu.

Recon I couldn't imagine any other way. Tic would be my next choice, but I don't think it is a suiting.

My plan was to call a boy dog Jude.

But then he was already called Leo, and he was just SUCH a Leo and responded to it so well, that I just couldn't get myself to change it.

I still sometimes will play with it just for fun in babytalk
"Hey Jude. Are you a Jude? Would you go by Jude? No, you're a Leo!"

So yeah, if I had to rename him, that is still what I would go for.

Ruby was Rosie when we first got her.
A friend of mine had recently lost a dog named Rosie so I needed a quick change before I introduced her publicly.

Knowing her now, and her incredibly cat-like behaviours, she would be better named Kitty. It's also her nickname.

Aside from that, I don't think I'd change any of my other dogs names.

I don't know what I'd name Crossbone -- probably "keep" his name as Cody.

Pox was almost Hops and I just said the other day, as he's bouncing uncontrollably and begging for my hoppy beer, that I should've named him Hops.

Crystal is a Crystal even though I don't generally like the name Crystal. If I had to rename her I would probably name her... Idk honestly :p probably Fox or something relating to her appearance. But I really just can't imagine her as anything other than Crystal.

Hugo was Prince at the animal shelter and I could see him as a Prince. They named him that since he was found as a stray so he didn't know it at all. He has the tendency to freeze and look as something and appear very regal and grown up... and then run and trip and bounce of the table and show his true inner-derposity. We also briefly entertained the idea of the name Leo. I would probably due Prince if I had to rename, Leo being a semi-close second : )

Outlaw was almost named Diesel or Freight Train.

I regret not naming him Freight, he's the size of a train and plows through most things in life.

Takoda was Dixie and the boyfriend wanted to name her Cracker, cause she's a white dog. I nixed that, looking back I wished we would have.

I've always thought that Hugo looks most like Leo from all the chaz dogs. I could TOTALLY see you entertaining that name for him :)

I could see Outlaw as Diesel, but I totally love the name Outlaw on him. Just by his looks and what little I've heard about him, lol.

Outlaw is the perfect name for him. The ONLY reason he wasn't named Diesel was because everyone and their mother names their dog that :p

I always say to Roxie, "Come along, Pond!" so Pond could totally work for her.

Pond is honestly the only other thing I could see myself calling Roxie. And that's purely because she's a redhead and Amy Pond is a redhead. Redheads rock anyways :p

Auggie didn't have a name at his breeder's house yet although her husband said "I think we should call him Streak, or Flash." My other vote before deciding on Auggie was Harley, but he was very clearly an Auggie. I suppose I would go with Flash if I had to pick something (and it's so ironic.)

Payton was Willy at his breeder's house and I was thinking of naming him Cowboy, but it didn't fit. I went through pretty much every name possible and realized Payton was the only possible name that fit him. Westley was my other runner and I know a lot of people on Chaz wanted me to go with that. He is definitely not a Westley though. I don't know. I guess if we're going with irony something like Munchkin or Tiny or maybe Hush.

Pepper was briefly Bullwinkle. These days I call her Drizzle or Drizzy more than Pepper. I've never really liked the name Pepper.

Wilson was Rover at his breeder's and here his name was Camo for about a week. I still like Camo but I guess the way I say it sounds like Camel? If I were to rename him now he'd be Rave or Vader, but he's definitely a Wilson. He also gets called Egg Dog or Egghead a lot lol

Sam was Cooper through his rescue but his foster home called him Samson and he knew his name so I didn't change it. He would be Shady though if I had picked his name.

All of my animals are so their own names. Haha I can't imagine them as anything else.

Abrams "maybe" name was Sherman, but I knew right away that it wasn't a fit. (And after fostering Sherman, I know I was so right. Sherman was a Sherman. Abrams is not.) If I were to rename him, it would probably be Grizz or some such. Stereotypical, but he reminds me of a Grizzly Bear. Lol

If Cynder was no longer to be Cynder, she'd be Embyr (Michael's other name pick for her).

Histamine is SO a Histamine. Hahaha I honestly can't even think of another name for her. She's just...Histamine. Something you can't live without and yet something that drives you nuts all at the same time. Ahahaha

Ahhh, as soon as I read the first sentence I wondered if that's what you were referring to. Love it.
