If you could only ask your dog(s) one question. What would it be?

I don't know.. I feel I understand my 3Ms, and know them without the need for words. I can totally tell if they need something, or when they want something.. and when I get them exactly that, I can feel their happiness, and their ways of saying thanks, too. It's almost as if I'm fluent in Dogs' language :p

But, if I could only ask each one of them a question. It would be:

Mocha: Do you really know how much you're loved?
Missy: Do you really have to play ball 24 hours a day, 7 days a week without stopping for a break?
Muffin: How on earth can you be soooooo cuteeeeee? :)

What about you? What would you want to ask your dog(s)?

That's a great question. I guess I would ask Charlie: Is there anything you want in your life that you don't already have?

I'd actually ask them both the same question: "Where did you come from?" Both my boys are mystery pups: Zeus was found dumped next to a highway, and Voodoo just showed up at my home one day.

That's hard... I can't really think of anything I don't already know with them. They're very expressive.

I would ask the following:

To Scout: What did your previous owners do or not do to make you so afraid of certain things? We adopted her from the pound after she was relinquished by her previous owners.

To Mina: Are you in any pain? She has intervertebral disc disease and I worry that her back might hurt her and I just don't know it :(

To Dot: I am with Gempress on this one: Where did you come from? Found her by the ambulance barn and no one claimed her, so now we have a third dog!

Believe me, I am quite sure I could think of 100 more questions. :lol-sign:

I'm really not sure what I would ask...but I can think of hundreds of things that I would like to know, but the first one I would ask is...

Where did you come from...??

(her and her brothers and sisters where found in a ditch when they were around 5 weeks old)

I think I would also ask "where did you come from?" of Baxter.\
Traveler--I would have to ask her how she feels--she is getting up there in age, and I want her to be comfortable!

i don't know what i'd ask. Milo is very expressive. i think i would ask him if he knows how much i love him. or maybe ask him if he loves me, it'd be nice to hear it.

I'd ask Ronin: What happened to you in your previous home?

I'd ask Ilsa: Who the heck told you to keep barking at the mailman when I tell you to be quiet!?!?

I'd ask Ada: Are you planning on, ya know, slowing down any time soon?

To Gus... You do know that your mummy will NEVER leave you don't you... Even though he is over the worst of his separation anxiety, I am sure he still frets when I leave him.

To Perle.. Are you happy?! She seems such a solemn little soul, i'm just never sure if she's happy.

To the three girls "Are you happy?" "What are you thinking?"

To Copper my 14 year old heart dog with arthritis, "Were you happy with me even when I was a small brat who didn't treat you right?" and the biggie

How will I know when it's time to let you go? and How am I ever going to be able to do that?

I'd ask the border collies how they feel. One of my biggest fears is that I'm going to push these stoic dogs too far and wind up hurting them.

I'd ask Ripley what planet he's from.

to Missy - "What happened to you before you came to live with me?"

to Maddie - This one is a tie, because I want to know if her eye bothers her, even though the vets said it doesn't and I know from her behavior it doesn't... I still think about it though. I'd probably as "Do you know how much I love you"

and to Charlie, or any other foster I'd probably ask the same sort of question as Missy's "What happened to you before you came to live with me?" or "Where did you come from?" ;)
