.....it is! It really is! ...at least...that's what my Philosophy teacher was telling our class  The class is about animals and the enviroment so she brought up the whole poisoned dog/cat food fiasco. Someone mentioned that the foods where mainly low quality, and she says, no there where some top notch foods like Iams and I think Pedegree. I had to butt in! I really did! lol

I told her that Iams was actually not top notch and niether is pedigree. That most (MOST) of the foods ont he list are not top notch foods. She said there where foods that vet's push and they are top notch, I said not always. Some vets are sold to push this food on their customers and many do. She basically then told me that I was wrong, that Iams/pedigree and those wher top notch foods and that it is no longer going to be discussed, not in those exact words but I quickly got her message

Love those people...they can't be wrong so they don't want to hear anything else that proves otherwise.

I know! Makes me a bit annoyed, especially since this is a discussion class where in the end, after all our research and such, and make up our own opinions on the ideas....can't wait for that

ugh, thats so annoying.

My aunt was all like "so what are you gonna feed oakley with all the recalls going on?" Im like uhh..."same thing...his food wasnt recalled..."

and then she started telling me how we should switch to Iams...and i told her it wasnt that great...and she is all like "what are you talking about?? Its specialty food"...

I just said "whatever, believe what you want" so not worth arguing with that woman.

If i were you, i would print out some research to show your teacher...

Well everybody knows that Philosophy instructors are experts on dog food.

Come to think of it, Philosophy teachers aren't good at much except the theory of reflecting upon your navel and studying smart dead people who actually WERE philosophers.

Tell your instructor I said so.:lol-sign:

Love those people who hate to be wrong. There's a girl in another forum who says that Science Diet, Purina and Iams are the best foods to feed. And that Innova, Canidae, Solid Gold etc are the worst...her argument is that 1) vets know more than most and wouldn't push those foods if there were truely that bad and 2) she's vet a student and her teachers told her so...she totally lost it when some said that she was very wrong and didn't know much about food is was recommending SD, Purina etc....

Well let's face it, Canidae isn't hanging around her vet school looking the "help". And when she's a vet Canidae won't be shipping her free food and guaranteeing her nice profits on the sales.

Not to mention all the invoices a vet actually recommended good food doesn't get to write for sick animals. Kinda like the medical profession. Most of 'em don't want us to stay healthy. Healthy patients aren't profitable.

Vets make me wonder sometimes. My vet is great, but the inside of the building looks like a **** Science Diet showroom. Gotta make the money somehow, I guess.

Edit: Dàmn, I can't say "dàmn"?

LOL Sparks. Everybody knows if you toss a T Bone down and throw a cob of corn in the other direction, the dog will go for the corn!
