of course i took him...she was like: well u know i want to make sure he finds a good home. i told her "anywhere but here (her house) is a good home for him. and i love dogs. i treat him like my own child. so yeah, he IS in good hands... ive only had him for a week, but he seems happier here at my house than when i met him at hers.... he loves my cat and kids too...i'll post a pic soon

i'm glad you took him,,the reasons for dumping dogs never seem to shock me anymore , i'm sure he'll be a heck of alot happier with you and your family.

I fail to see the stupidity. She knew she was not taking care of this dog properly and wanted to find a good home for the dog. I'm GLAD she wanted to find a more suitable home.

I agree that it is good she wanted to find him a good home because she wasn't filling his needs...............but didn't she know it would snow in upstate NY before she got a dog??

there have been some pretty cold days here recently (ummm -23 windchill), and I didn't walk ours either, but give me a break!

It is good that you could take him and provide him with the home that he needs. But I wouldn't be so quick to judge. Maybe there is a reason the woman couldn't take him out. Maybe she is older and is afraid of being pulled by the dog and slipping or something. Or maybe she got sick, just not something she cares to share. At least she did the right thing in giving the dog to someone who can take care of it.

I agree and disagree. Good thing she realized that she wasn't providing and thus rehomed the dog. Bad thing that she didn't think ahead before she got it.

I hope the dog is great for you, I really do.
