i dont have a picture.

but a freind just got a drop off, someone tied a heavily pregnant mastif to her deck. (this is the same frined that has alot of property 6 large dogs of her own and does alot of rehab so she tends to have dogs, cats and livestock left on her deck frequently.

shes in good shape and a note was left...
shes heavily pregnant, due on christmas eve...
she is supposedly fila x mastif. the father they belive was either the neighbors pressa or a dogo from down the street...

shes aparently very pretty...
i would so take one of these babies if i had my tn house...
which im still working on btw.

A Fila crossed with a Presa Canario is not a mix I would want. A Fila was bred to disarm, a Presa to catch and hold (they are often still used as catch dogs in some areas). A Fila is the most dog friendly of mastiffs, a Presa is often at least same-sex aggressive, if not completely DA. Both have quite a guarding instinct. I would be worried about how these characteristics would mix. 0_o (Dogos are also used as catch dogs and also have a DA streak).

I would be interested to see pics of momma dog whenever you could get them. :)

because dogos are hunted in packs DA is heavily culled in argentina and anywhere they are kept primarily for hunting. in places where hunting is not an option & where kept primarily for pet & show DA is more tolerated & even bred from. this is why some very good breeders of working dogos won't sell to nonhunting homes.

finesse is for terriers & sighthounds that have to get their game by the throat w/o getting too torn up themselves. for bull & mastiff breeds it's pretty much raw power on impact & endurance in the hold.
