Lizzie is 5 months and 3 weeks old. I am dying to see her all grown up! Collies are so regal looking, I cant wait until shes big and furry. I don’t think she’ll get too big though, I hope she doesn’t turn out to be a midget dog, but if she does I’ll still love her!! I saw a Collie on Dogbreedinfo.com that looked like an overgrown sheltie, and I adore big dogs, so I want Lizzie to be big!

Anyone have this same desire that I do or am I just weird for hoping she hurries up and grows up? By the way, she doesn’t chew/bite/bark, shes a real mellow pup who has fits only occasionally so I think I may just be losing it.

Now I can bet that when Lizzie is all grown up I’ll be wishing she was a baby again!!

Truer words were never spoken. :) Embrace these puppy days and enjoy them and file them away in your memories as they will bring you many smiles in the years to come! Although it is great when they grow up to their full potential, there is always something so special & sweet about their puppy time.:)

Collie's are one of my favorite looking dogs! In fact, if it wasnt for their size and all that hair, I would have chosen a collie over a mini dachshund. But shhhhhhhh...dont tell Chili that....he'll get all bent out of shape.:D

Whenever I get a puppy, I can hardly wait for them to grow up and mature. I've never wished my dogs were puppies again, as I prefer both the adult look and temperament...perhaps I'm just weird though. :)

I know what you mean by wanting to know how she will look all grown up, butthey grow so fast! I miss those silly puppy days and the goofy things they do. Like grabbing the end of the toilet paper roll and tearing through the house.

I was the same way, and frankly I don't miss those crazy puppy months :D Although I guess they're still kind of puppy-like...

Thats exactly how I feel with Hondo. I cant wait for him to grow and mature so that I can start some real work with him. Now its all "good boy" (in a squeaky, animated voice).

Yep they may be the same age but I bet that boy is twice as big as Liz! How much is he weighing now?

I purchased Riot on the fact that I love the look of adult Tervs. The puppies are adorable b/c they are puppies.. but they aren't "the cutest things" ya know? I couldn't wait for Riot to grow up so I could start serious training with him.
When he was only 5 months old I put him into Search and Rescue training and he has excelled at it! He is now a better "find" then Dante, his S&R partner that started when he was slightly older. Riot has more drive then Dante for things like that, but Dante has more skill b/c he is taken to Ottawa to train and then comes back here to do more training.

I always said "I wish Riot would grow up" lol He went through some ugly growth periods where I thought "omg.. he can't be a show dog" lol
He is still growing though - hes dont growing up, he just needs to grow out now.

OMG! Why? I will miss Fozzie being a puppy sooo much. He's the cutest, goofiest little puppy and he's so smart. He will probably have the same personality when he's older, though, and hopefully he will be this adorable still.

I thought the same thing with sam! I really couldn't wait to see what she would look like all grown up, but now she is and I wish she was a puppy again!

When Malakai was a pup (well ok, he still is a pup but its hard to call a 130lb dog a "pup" lmao, anyways) i was in a hurry to see him grow and grow into an adult.. but now that hes a bit older and much much larger, i cant help but look back and wish that he was that "little" 55lb 4 month old puppy still, that actually could fit in my lap with out bruising my legs :p

I couldn't wait for my boy to grow up and be an adult. He was an excellent puppy and never gave me any trouble, just that I couldn't wait to see how handsome he was going to become as he matured :) And boy is he ever handsome :p

I am at the 4 1/2 month stage with Gunner (my chocolate Lab) and I can't wait to see what he's gonna look like grown up. Don't get me wrong, I've got a 2 y.o. black Lab as well, so it's not like I don't know what they look like. It's just...he's different. He's from a whole other line. Tira is from a line of hunting and field Labs so she has a different look. He's got more of the original look. Granted, he's going to be much bigger than the average Lab (probably 100 lbs...he's 54 lbs now), but he has these oh-so-soft puppy lips that drip water everywhere and he's got the perfect ears and head and he's so straight and handsome. I can't wait to see what he'll look like as an adult. :)

I love the rolly polly puppies, but the lighter bonedpups arents as cute IMO Lizzie is one of those light bone dogs and my mom is always joking that shes anorexic LOL. I cant wait for her to fill out a bit and grow into her ears!
