I came home today from visiting my b/f parents. I went into the bathroom, and my b/f let the dogs in. All the sudden I hear pebbles screaming bloody murder. I run into my bedroom and see pebbles spinning in circles on her side and screaming. I immediately start freaking out and crying my eyes out. I thought she was dying. :(

My b/f said she peed on the bed again, so I assume he hurt her. I start cussing him out, and he tells me that she jumped off the bed and hit my computer chair as soon as he yelled at her. I picked her up, and her front leg was just dangling there. I figured she dislocated it, because it was so mangled and not attached at all.

Its Sunday, so very few vets were open. We rushed her 30 miles to the nearest emergency vet. They put a splint on her, and gave her some pain meds. Told me that she needs surgery, and that her leg is COMPLETELY broken in two. Her leg won’t even set. So now I have to take her into the regular vet tomorrow to get her into surgery.

Thank got my b/f was home when this happened, or I would have been screwed. And thank god his mom is helping pay for the vet bills, or she would have been put down. :(

That is horrible. I am so sorry that this happened! I wish her a speedy recovery!
Thanks.

I forgot to mention... she cannot walk or even stand with the splint on. She just flops over, and rolls around. Not sure how shes gonna pee or poop.

Hope she'll be fine.

You know dogs have stronger life force than human being. One of my old colleagues told me his dog was once injured by a car accident and couldn't stand up. And you know not everybody cares his dog that much like you, in fact he didn't even send the dog to the vet, and the poor dog just got well without any treatment after sevral weeks!

And look, she has you and your love! She'll be fine.

I am in apache junction.

We were told today that she needs to see a special surgion. We went to our regular vet today. So far the vet bills are up to $500 just for the splint, meds, and 2 x-rays. The surgery is going to be a couple thousand.

Pebbs is doing a lot better. She can get around now. I feel so bad for her. She hasnt been eating well :( . I will have to post some photos soon. :)
