I think we're getting a puppy....

It's kind of a 'yes no maybe so' right now. One of my family members got a red merle Australian Shepherd...one week ago at 6 weeks, and now decided it's too much work, so want it gone due to that, but 'feel too attached so aren't totally sure' at the same time.

I sure hope we get him though! They've named him Rocket, and I actually like that name, so it'd probably stay.

I'm trying not to get my hopes too high up. Just so if we don't end up getting him it isn't a major blow.

I hope you do get him, but they are a LOT of work. Active puppies, little hellions, but totally worth it.

Remind them that since you're family, they'd still be able to see Rocket -- just not have all the hassles of raising a puppy

Haven't heard anything more than we did yesterday, so no update as of yet.
I've got some knowledge of what to expect. I've been wanting an Aussie for 6 years now, but mom's always been saying no to another large dog, until she saw Rocket.
