I have noticed him sneezing and coughing hacking sort of but he is eating and drinking as usual, only thing is he only wants to sleep, play a tiny bit but sleep and lay down. I just touched his nose and it is hot. I fed him Green Tripe raw yesterday and then I noticed this today, I am wondering if he picked up some bug from it? I was told to feed it raw he loved it.

How do I test his temperature? Can I use a human tester? And if so, what are the temps I am to look for? His nose is hot. It nearly midnight where I am at so I will have to do Vet in the morning.

normal temperature in a dog is 100.5-101.5 F. you can use a regular human thermometer and take his temp rectally (a little lube on the end, or even spit, will make it easier).

i'd get him into the vet asap, personally. don't medicate him with anything without a vet's advice. tylenol, advil, etc are all toxic to dogs.

How old is your pup? Has he had his shots?
I would vet just in case. Could be kennel cough or something ??

the best thing to do is to take him to vet to be examine and know what is wrong, with this you can know the next step to take

Well he went to the vet, he got an immune system shot to help strengthen the immune system. He got some herbal meds like a thick green tonic to take, he has tracherbronchitis which is also known as Kennel cough, but the sneezing bothers me as all the web sites do not mention sneezing as part of that. They do not give antibiotics for kennel cough here as it is a viral infection of the respiratory system BUT, it is noted on some US sites as being bacterial, so which is it? He is eating and has a good appetite, but that is the thing that fools the owners, the good appetite. he is sleeping a lot and this morning for heavens sake, I had to wake him up finally at 9am:yikes: , normally the little devil wakes me at 4:lol-sign: so he must be under the weather. Vet said dont over play him so he will be kinda babied for the next week as he said it takes about ten days to get rid of. I guess I wont take him puppy school on Sat, that will only stress his system.
