I've been planning on getting Lola spayed but I've been so busy lately it's not been on the top of my list. Well, she went into heat earlier than I thought she was going to. So, now we're having to keep her on a leash at all times when outside just to make sure no male dog comes sniffing around and so she won't be tempted to take off and look for a male dog.
I'll have to make an appointment after the holidays and get the spaying done... I really hate having to deal with a dog in heat.. it's so messy.
Anyway, I get home from work and there's Arielle asleep in her bed! She was suppose to be at school. She's not sick or anything.. I think she just didn't feel like going to school so she used the excuse "my alarm clock didn't go off" as she drifted back to sleep.
Here's the evil part... Lola runs in Arielle's room and jumps up in her bed with her. And she's dripping blood from her tootie onto Arielle's bedding :yikes: I was about to call Lola out of there and put her back in her kennel for a while so I could get some sleep and not wake up to blood all over my furniture and floor. But then I decided to just leave Lola where she was.
Arielle is going to be sooooo grossed out when she wakes up and sees all that yucky bloody drippings in the bed with her. She'll wish she had gone to school afterall...lol.
I couldn't bring myself to make Lola come out and go to her kennel when she looked so comfy all curled up in the bed with Arielle. She'll just have to wash her bedding today. I just hope Lola doesn't crawl under the blankets like she usually does.... that would be really really gross!
