This morning I had it of Lisa screaming every time I put her in their play area... With our old cat dead we removed the litterbox so I had no more reason to leave that area accessible, so I removed all the crap that was on the floor and the table, removed the table cloth, vacuumed, mopped, rearranged the furniture a bit and opened up the play pen. I used it to block the table, TV area, front door and stairs, so the room is pretty much cut in two, but the kids now have almost twice as much room to play.
Unfortunately it didn't stop the whining, Lisa almost knocked off the gate, they both figured out it's quite fun to push the high chairs around, my cat won't be able to go outside as easily (will pretty much have to jump over both gates) and now the dogs can't go into the living room at all (which means WE have to clean the mess under the high chairs...). But at least I feel less guilty of the limited space (still too small in my opinion but unfortunately unless/until we move it's not going to be fixed).
Anyway, I took a few pictures.
